Meadows of Freedom
Watch her as she strolls, feeling the warm sun on her skin without a care,
The heads of grain bow before her as the breeze gently brushes her hair.
Scents of summer titillate her senses teasing them with newfound pleasure,
Gentle grasses beneath her feet create an appreciation for newfound treasures.
Meandering as she takes this in, time loses all meaning in this paradise of peace,
Kept inhibited for so long by the mores in life- she now gives way to sweet release.
Her hands touch the grain as if seeing it for the first time- experiencing to the full,
Inside her spirit is connected to this moment, awakened, alive; feeling natures pull.
So many things to touch, to taste, to see- in coming to the meadow her heart is made free.

To know oneself, one should assert oneself. Psychology is action, not thinking about oneself. We continue to shape our personality all our life. If we knew ourselves perfectly, we should die. ~ Albert Camus, 1913-1960
